The campout has been rained out!  Hopefully we will be able to plan another weekend this spring or summer for a special campout time!  Enjoy your weekend around here and stay dry and warm!

We will be having an overnight campout to East Lofers Bend Park @ Lake Whitney. The Canadys and the Hortons will be bringing their family campers. Justin and Kristin Jack will also be chaperones.  If you have a tent to bring, please let Kristin know as soon as possible.  The cost is $10/person to cover the cost of your food. 

We will meet at 3pm on Friday, March 13, at the CCC parking lot to take the church van to the campsite.  If you are unable to be at the church at 3pm because your parents work later than that, please contact Kristin and we will either find a youth family to pick you up or have a second group of youth leave a little later in the day.

We will plan on returning to CCC on Saturday, March 14, mid-afternoon.  All youth attending the campout will need to have a CCC Medical Release on file.  Contact Kristin if you are not sure if you have a current medical release form on file.

WHAT TO PACK (many of these are optional ideas that you might want to bring with you)
sleeping bag (optional: air mattress)
clothes (PLEASE check the weather to make sure you pack appropriate clothing for sleeping, hiking, playing)
personal items (tooth brush, deodorant, towel, etc)
flashlight or lantern
frisbee/football/deck of cards
fishing gear
coat
good shoes for hiking/walking/playing
snacks to share with the group

We're taking a road trip to Grapevine Mills Mall!

Back by popular demand...we'll leave the church at 9 a.m. for a fun-filled day together in Grapevine!   You'll get to choose your activities.   Take a look at your options so that you know how much money to bring with you!

9 a.m.  Meet at Central (PLEASE BRING A NEW CCC MEDICAL RELEASE FORM FOR THE 2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR--click on the link on the right to download one now!)
11:30 a.m. Arrive @ Grapevine Mills Mall: eat lunch in the food court (you pay)
noon-6 p.m.  Free Choice of activities (indoor skate park, ice skating, movies, shopping, gameworks--you pay)
6 p.m.  Eat dinner together (church pays!)
7:30 p.m.  Head home!
9:30 Arrive at CCC Waco

We'll look at which movies are showing and determine a few suitable ones for the group to choose to attend.  Shows are not listed for Saturday on the AMC website yet.
