Adult Sunday School Ministry

We currently have 5 choices for Adult Sunday School Classes.  Unless otherwise noted, each class begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends around 10:20 a.m. each Sunday morning.   We are also always looking for ways to incorporate more people into Sunday School by encouraging members to join exisiting classes, or look into starting new ones.  Please contact Kristin Jack for more information or to start a new class!

  • BIBLE CAFE: Led by Laura Byas, this class is geared mostly toward young adults in their 20s-40s, although people of all ages participate!   It's a discussion based class where we explore various life issues and how we handle them.  We share in some breakfast munchies, coffees, teas and fellowship in the Cafe.
  • BIBLE DISCOVERY CLASS: Led by Brad Toben, this discussion based class focuses on in-depth scriptural study of one book of the Bible at a time.   Meeting in the Library, they utilize maps, and other reference materials as they dig into the scripture and help it come to life each week.   note:  This class begins at 9:15 a.m. due to the large number of choir members who participate in this class and have to leave a bit early to prepare for worship.
  • COFFEE & CONVERSATION: This casual class meets in the Fireside room weekly for coffee and discussion about life issues and occasionally current events and how to apply Christian living to those issues.
  • FRIENDSHIP CLASS: Taught by Virginia Babb, this class made up primarily of our older adults are great friends who take care of one another and truly exhibit the body of Christ. This class also holds several fellowship gatherings throughout the year.  The Friendship Class meets in the Butler Chapel.
  • NEW!!!  Class for Parents of Young Children:(BEGINS MAY 15): This new Sunday School class will be an opportunity to bring parents of young children together to discover the tools they need to be the primary spiritual caregiver for their children.   We will start the class with a book discussion using the book, Parenting Beyond Your Capacity: Connecting Your Family to a Wider Community. As we journey together through this book, we will find ways to support one another, to share the ups and downs of parents, and will fill our own souls so that we can share God’s love with our precious children.
