Letter to Schools & Daycares

The pumpkins are coming! On Saturday, October 3, Central Christian Church will receive an entire truckload of pumpkins for the 4th Annual CCC Pumpkin Patch. This year, our pumpkin patch will be twice the size of previous years and we are thrilled to offer it to the Waco community.
Last year, we had an overwhelming response to our “Story Time Field Trips” to the CCC Pumpkin Patch. We hope that even more preschool and younger elementary aged children will choose to have a fun fall day in the Patch with us this year.
Please pass this information along to your teachers and have them contact us to set up a Story Time Field Trip soon. We will arrange to have an energetic story teller present to read some pumpkin stories and educate the children about the pumpkin growing process. We will be limiting groups to 30 children per story time, so call soon to schedule a good time slot! We will be scheduling groups on Tuesday-Thursday mornings from October 6-29, for 45 minute time slots. We cannot discount our pumpkins to anyone because of our arrangement with the grower; however, you may want to encourage your students to bring $1 to $4 to purchase a small pumpkin to take home with them. Of course, it is not required that your students purchase a pumpkin, but most groups do arrange for this special “souvenir.” The smallest pumpkins are $.50, $.75 and $1.50. Bulk carving pumpkins start at $3/each. All proceeds from the CCC Pumpkin Patch support our Children and Youth Ministries here at Central Christian Church. Each student attending a Story time Fieldtrip will receive a coloring sheet, pumpkin face stickers, and information to give their parents about the CCC Pumpkin Patch.
